The Music Run

Guys, guess what? A brand new interactive fun run with a 5km soundtrack, pumping music every step of the way, is finally here in Singapore!! It will be rocking our shores this April as The Music Run™ by AIA lands in Singapore for the first time!






I was invited to The Music Run™ launch and preview party two weeks ago and I'm really excited to share with all you lovelies about this extraordinary run! So sorry this post came two weeks later after the launch of The Music Run™, I have been busy with filming and everything previously (and still am). But here it is! Read on to know more about the run!




This un-timed and non-competitive 5km fun run is split into five 1km Music Zones, each representing a different genre of music. Each has it’s own unique playlist entirely selected by YOU!

If you're a huge fan of the Colour Run, Electric Run and Ilumi Run, you'll definitely love The Music Run as well. The Music Run™ was first launched in several cities in Asia with sell out events, like Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok and Yangon, and is now finally here in Singapore to rock our eardrums. This year, they are expanding out to conquer the rest of the word with 13 new markets, including several new countries in Asia like Hong Kong and Taiwan, and outside of Asia in Australia, New Zealand and even Europe.


The 5km non-competitive fun run, being the first run of the year, will definitely set the bar very high for the upcoming runs in 2015!

Here are the details:

Venue: Sentosa Island
Date: 11th April 2015
Event Starts: 2:30PM
Run Starts: 4PM


Normal tickets will be priced at S$50 for a Standard ticket, and S$75 for a Rockstar entry, and registration will end on the 31st of March 2015.




The route of the run will stretch through 3 different beaches at Sentosa, and each of the 5 Music Zones will be powered by different sponsors, such as Coca Cola, Head and Shoulders, and AIA, with secret activities at each zone that will be revealed on the day itself. Live performances will also take place at the end of the run, with Singapore’s best beatboxer Dharni collaborating with up-and-coming singer K-Leah.




Now, remember me mentioning how the entire playlist is selected by you? Here's the exciting part. This is where Spotify plays a huge role, by making us the DJs for the run itself! Crazy right?! After all, music is as much an individual choice as well as a societal one, and only we know what kind of music pumps us up for a good workout. Through a widget embedded into the Music Run website, every participant that signs up for The Music Run™ will get the chance to vote for their favourite music.




As the run will be divided into 5 music zones – Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, Retro and Dance – and each participant gets to tell The Music Run™ and Spotify their favourite song from each genre.  5 songs per music zone! Everyday!!




The more you listen, share and like, the more likely your favourites will make the top 5 playlists for each Music Zone, being pumped out of 100 concert quality speakers at every step during The Music Run™.




It’s time to pluck out those earphones and listen to the music.
