Special FX - Cut
Okay here is it. Gross? Yes.
My first ever attempt in special effects makeup. (Not taking into account that time when I did makeup for the zombies for Zombie Run Asia 2013) This was done quite awhile ago, but I only had time to post this up now. (Although I should totally be studying now cause I'm still in the midst of my Mid Years.
Think I did a pretty good job here given the fact that I did not use any silicon or plastic mold to create the fleshy effect, nor did I use and liquid blood or food colouring or any sort of a thing like that to create this.
Well, all I used was some semi-dried up makeup base, eyeshadow, lipstick and lip gloss. Impressive? Duh. Kay, too much confidence here. LOL.
Okay I know that was disgusting. You must be thinking like why the hell am I using dried up makeup base for this. I had no idea that the consistency of my makeup base had gone off initially. I confess, I have this bad habit of buying makeup/makeup related products even when I don't need it at that very moment of purchase. And hence.... I have a lot of makeup and cosmetics that I don't use, and I'll end up giving them to my mom or I'll use it excessively. There was once when I used facial moisturizer on my body just so that it will be used up quickly lol.
Back to the topic, so one day, when I was exploring the massive amount of makeup I own, I came across this pathetic bottle of makeup base with the consistency of cookie dough. And I thought, I'm gonna create a special effects look with this since it is mold-able though it is extremely soft. I had a super hard time applying the red eyeshadow onto my hand using an eyeshadow brush cause the makeup base kept getting scraped up by the bristles of my brush. Annoying? Yes. But to be honest, I'm really happy with the overall effect hehe.
