Okay, so its been awhile. A long while. And I'm going to start blogging again. And yes, in case you haven't noticed, I have deleted all my previous posts and changed my blog url. 

Don't really know why I have decided to start blogging again. But I hope I will commit to it next year, cause its going to be a hectic year next year, apart from my A'Levels and all.

Christmas Eve Dinner!

Yes, that's bacon wrapped around asparagus and chicken meatballs. I was really busy that afternoon, preparing everything. I mean, I'm not a chef, of course I'll get paranoid and lost, trying to prepare 6 dishes, right? But then again, I'm really thankful that I have my mom with me that afternoon to help me out. She was my 'assistance' for the day. >:) 

So here's the sumptuous meal that I prepared for Christmas' Eve. Seriously, I'm really proud of this. I mean, I may not cook the most delicious dishes, but I swear to god, I have put my heart and soul into all these. (Okay, maybe not all. Cause my mom fried the bee hoon at the bottom, and the chicken wings are bought from Whampoa Market nearby my house.) And yeap, you're right, we dug in before I could snap a photo of everything cause everyone was extremely hungry by then.

There's spinach frittata on the top left hand corner of the photo. If you're wondering why it looks weird, then that's probably because I missed out on the cheesy layer on top. Not cause i was lazy or whatsoever, but that's because I couldn't get parmigiano reggiano at the supermarket near my house. So I made a healthy decision by skipping it (I mean, just think about the amount of calories cheese contains x.x Better to skip that). It still tastes delish! On the same baking tray, we have pizza roses. Sounds so atas and yumz, right? Hehehe. Its actually just normal pizza dough topped with sauteed fillings (red bell peppers, green bell peppers, onions), pineapples, crispy bacon (drools), and, of course, cheese (I used cream cheese here, cause it's extremely soft, so it helps to hold the other ingredients together at the center of the pizza rose). I kind of screwed this one up, and gone a little crazy with the amount of salt, cause the dough tasted really salty. A lesson to learn. 

At the right hand corner, there's eggless marmalade meatballs. Made with chicken meat, cause my boyfriend hates pork. This dish is his favourite too. (Except the fact that the sauce is a little too salty. My apologises, I have a tendency to over season food.) And then, we have asparagus wrapped with bacon (cut into halves), and chicken wings, with potato hash is in the center. And lastly, we have the fried bee hoon that my lovely mom made <3

I have potential to be a chef, don't I? *wink*

Me and my love<3 So glad I have him with me this Christmas. He made everything so much more meaningful.

My love with the santa cut-out that I made. Didn't want to spend a lot of money on Christmas decos, so I made some using coloured paper and  bought a roll of decoration balls from Diaso. I mean, why would anyone spend a ton of money buying decos to put up for one day and store them up for the rest of the year? Its just ridiculous. Unless you're insanely rich and you have too much money you don't know where to spend, so you want to impress your guests with fancy and intricate decos. Then fine, that's a different case.
