Finding the right internship or part time job for yourself
It’s been awhile since I left school. And if you guys didn't know, I had decided to take a
gap year to explore the different alternatives that existed and really think about what I want my next step to be. Right now, at this moment, it just felt like I made a
mistake to have entered a JC back then. It was halfway into it when I realised this path was not the one I wanted to go. Well, after my O'Levels, I'd already been working several part time jobs to gain experience, and of course, earn some pocket money;)
When I first started, I mostly worked in the F&B sector, or service industry. I mean, that was the best part time job I could find then at the age of sixteen. The restaurant I worked at paid pretty well compared to most. But it was not long before it became very mundane and everyday was very repetitive. I moved on to other part time jobs. Then it led me to doing sales at the Estee Lauder counter in Takashimaya. I've always wanted to do something that's in the cosmetic or beauty industry. And hence, I found this job and started working, hoping to gain experience in sales and the cosmetic industry. I worked part time for almost a year in the first year of JC before stopping to focus on my studies.
Despite the effort to 'focus' on my studies, it didn't do much help as I was divided between academics and outside commitments. But what’s done is already done. With this gap year now, my aim is to gain as much experience in the working environment as I can. And that’s
when I came across Stroff.com. It is a platform that connects companies,
professionals, recruiters and employers to jobseekers, and specialises in helping students find internship Singapore opportunities and part time jobs for students.
Since their startup early 2015, Stroff.com has already accumulated
11,323 job opportunities in Singapore! They also offer a vast variety of jobs for you to choose from. Part-time jobs Singapore opportunities, full-time roles, Singapore internship placements, contract
based positions, temp/ad hoc stints and even freelance jobs!
It is really simple to search for a part time job or internship that you want!
Just type in the specifics and the search engine will generate results that best suit your requirements. Pretty amazing and extremely efficient.
It would save me so much trouble back then when I was looking for part time jobs if I had Stroff.com. I went online, but the search was pretty tedious as the jobs listed were not categorised. I went for the old-fashion method of job search and resorted to the newspaper. Needless to mention, incredibly tedious as well. I asked my friends, but to no avail as most of them either had no such contacts, or are searching for Singapore part time jobs as well.
Being the fastest growing jobs portal, Stroff.com has an extensive database of companies looking for potential employees to join them.
If you're looking for internship opportunities like me, Stroff.com is, I'd say, by far the best jobs portal for you. Convenient, fast and free.
And if you're a potential employer, with these three simple steps above, you can easily find the suitable employee for your company on Stroff.com's platform.
So, both employers and employees, sign up for a free Stroff.com account now!

[Sponsored] SANA Esteny Body Brightener
Ever since I've first started using the Esteny Body Brightener two weeks ago, the areas of my concern (knees and elbows D: ) have brightened up and feel more moisturised. Well... I've been a really hyper-active kid, and I'd fall down all the time, everytime. Its not a surprise my ankle or knees or arms get bruises, abrasions or cuts here and there. And the unfortunate thing is that some of these injuries didn't heal properly, leaving a nasty dark patch behind as they heal. A handful of them are still quite visible now, especially around my knees and elbow.
It not only brighten up dark spots, but also evens out the skin tone. You can also use it on areas like the Bikini line and armpits. These are some popular areas of concern for most people as well.
If you have sensitive skin, rest assured as this product is really gentle to the skin. It's rich in moisture with 5 plant-based ingredients and 2 moisturising ingredients, namely Chamomile extract, Rose hip oil, Saxifrage extract, Enzymatic decomposition products of prune, Olive leaf extract, and Hyaluronic acid, Ceramide. But then again, if you have extremely sensitive skin, do a allergy test before applying to sensitive areas like the Bikini line.

[Sponsored] SANA Maiko-Han
Received two more beauty products from SANA last last week, and I've finally tried them out! It's their latest face powder and makeup base!
SANA Maiko-Han Face Powder in Sheer Pink. It's also available in Sheer Beige for you people with a cool skin tone.
Now now, let me tell you why this product amazed me. You know, most loose powder containers come with plastic covers with holes in them? And when you transfer the powder from the container onto the puff, it distributes really unevenly onto the puff.
But THIS face powder comes with a flexible net that is stretchable. The holes in the net itself are really fine, allowing the powder to be transferred onto the puff evenly. And obviously, making application of the powder easier.
To apply, simply just push the puff on the net and pat the puff all over your face!
It contains SPF 15 PA ++ for extra protection against UV rays and pollutants in the air. Not forgetting that it smells really nice too! It has this really subtle cherry blossom fragrant that I'm in love with.
When I was reading up about the product, I came across this unique characteristics about this powder. The fine powder will melt at body temperature after application, giving a smooth and silky finish. Usually, face powders will make my skin really dry and sometimes even a little flakey. But this gave my skin a soft, glow-y finish.
SANA Maiko-Han Makeup Base in Pink Beige
It contains SPF 30 PA ++, (again) has a cherry blossom fragrant and it is really moisturising!! It spreads pretty easily onto my skin and blends really well.
The pink undertone gives a healthy glow and brightens up my skin, giving a dewy look.
Enough of me sharing with you guys these amazing products! SANA is giving you a product of your choice!
